It is Ms. Hydra

With the last two expansions Blizzard has increasingly immersed the players into their game. There is no better example then in the quest text. Instead of just using “Hello, Hero!” they use your character gender, class, and even race to modify the story. I’m quite sure there are even little things they are doing that I don’t even detect.

But nothing … NOTHING… annoys me more then when quest text messes with my immersion into the game and throws me out of it because of how it is worded.

Sometimes I even forget that I am on an RP server. But Hydra has a story that is all her own. Granted it is not that complicated or anything fancy. She does get around but let me be clear….
It is Ms. Hydra.

... and yes I had no problem shoving those wee animals into my Gnome sized pockets. They are a little squished but still eatable.

  1. I'd say that it is part of the immersion that the quest giver knows nothing of you and just chances between ms and mrs. Wouldn't it be more eerie if she somehow knew your marital status? o.O I like quest givers that make mistakes. It's more rp that way.

  2. Point taken. But it still seems like you should go with the most general.

Maybe I will ask her if she lives in a barn because she is part horse.

As it is it made Hydra comment on NOT being married. Which Mylune clearly ignored.

  4. I don't think Mylune ignored the fact that Hydra is not married. I think the root of the issue here is that Mylune is a total airhead. She's written that way and I do recall other NPCs make mention of her not exactly being all there.

She could very well call male character Mrs. and I don't think it'd be out of character for that nutty dryad. :)
